Firefighters were dispatched to a reported house fire on Meldrum, in the area of Lafayette. First due truck company advised the engine of a working fire, at 1203 Meldrum, and the rear of the house and was heavly involved and to hit the hyrdrant the fire heabvly damaged a 1.5 story home. Firefighters had the fire under control in under half an hour.
